Lively brings a whole new dimension to medical monitoring and alert services. This company utilizes advanced technology solutions to provide family members with insights in lives of their loved ones. Abundance of sensors and tracking technology can spot different lifestyle patterns and sense when something is wrong. This, combined with 24/7 emergency response service that is available at a push of a button, positions this company into one of most forward thinking out there.
This company has quite a few of devices, or should we say gadgets, at disposal. All the system elements are designed in such a way to support independent living. Seniors need more and more help and assistance as they age, especially if there are some underlying medical conditions involved. Family members do not always have the possibility to take care of their loved ones on daily basis and provide all the assistance needed. Time between visits can be risky for senior and nerve wracking for their family members who are worried about their wellbeing. Medical alert and monitoring services can come in handy in situations like these, as the main goal and functionality of such systems is to provide seniors with a way to easily call for help in emergency situations. Lively has recently introduced a safety watch that can do just that.

So How Does It Work?
Lively provides one of the most user friendly medical monitoring systems out there. There is a Lively hub that needs to be connected to a power outlet. The hub is the central device in the system which connects wirelessly to all the other sensors and devices. Hub handles communication and it does not require internet connection or phone line. Then there are activity sensors. These should be placed around the home in strategic positions to monitor activity of the user and each small device is equipped with motion sensors. Users can place them on the fridge doors to monitor when the fridge is being used. Also, sensors can be placed on the pills dispensers to monitor pills usage or at the home entry doors to indicate when users are leaving home. Possibilities are endless, and sensors are really small and portable so they can be installed literally anywhere. Data sent is extremely useful to map out regular user habits while that information in turn can be used to spot problems and out of ordinary situations.

Safety watch is probably the most important part of the Lively system. This is the unit a protected person needs to wear all the time, and it provides a crucial medical alert service in form of a help button. The watch is stylish and comes in a variety of band colors and options. There is a discrete button on the watch that initiates a call from the Lively Care Team.

This is a help button that should be activated whenever the user does not feel well, or needs any kind of assistance. Agents located in a Lively call center will initiate a call and talk with the person in need.

Appropriate assistance will then be arranged depending on each individual situation. For example, if the nature of emergency is not life threatening – a family members might be contacted by Lively for assistance. On the other hand, if situation is critical – local paramedics will be dispatched to the location immediately. In any case, a call center agent will stay on the line until help arrives or protected person assures them they are fine.
The watch is waterproof and it can be used while showering or having a bath. It is highly recommended to keep wearing the watch in the bathroom as this is the place where a majority of falls happen due to slippery floors or when getting in and out of a bathtub. The watch face comes in black or white, and bands can be replaced by any 20mm band of user’s choice. The help button in form of a stylish watch is a great idea as a lot of seniors simply refuse to wear traditional help button around their neck or wrist.

Safety watch provided by Lively is a pretty high-tech solution for medical alert service. The only downside is that the call center agents need to use a regular phone to initiate calls. It is not possible to use the hub or safety watch for two-way voice communication. The watch is used to send a signal that the user needs help and then the call center agents initiate a call to user’s phone, notify relatives or dispatch emergency services depending on preferences. This is a relatively big shortcoming considering how advanced this system is in comparison to others. The feature that allows the safety watch to pair with a cell phone is very innovative and it allows users to take the medical alert service on the go, wherever the cell phone has network coverage. Safety watch keeps track of steps, and it integrates with other sensors to provide medication reminders.

Sensors that come in the package can be placed on any pillbox from which medication doses are taken. Sensors can also be placed on doors or in the bathroom to track user’s movement around the house. All this data is accessible online via Lively Online Dashboard. Family and caretakers can monitor data online and real time and set up various types of notifications for certain events. Notifications can be sent via email, text or mobile app. It is possible to see that activity sensors data input, as well as if the user is wearing the safety watch and the number of steps taken each day. There are iOS and Android apps available for mobile devices. Lively circle option allows users to specify who has access to online data.

First, we recommend you to check our

Very nice design and great concept. My mother used 27/7. Then step counter ceased working with fresh new battery. After initial contact and description of problem is given, no return email and no return calls. They stopped live person customer service. Nice product and very disappointing customer service. Still their website looks great though.
They have no customer service and continue to lie to the customer.

The worst I have experienced. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
