Guardian Medical Monitoring ® Medical Alert Systems

Guardian Medical Monitoring company has been around for a long time. This company provides medical alert monitoring service for elderly or those with medical conditions who might need help. Guardian is a family owned business that has been around since 1930s. Independent living can become a challenge when people get older or develop risky medical conditions. In situations like those, purchasing a medical alert service can make it possible for users to keep living in their own home. Everyone usually prefers to keep living in their own home as opposed to living in homes for elderly or in assisted living facilities.

It all comes down to safety and independence. Family members and loved ones usually get these kinds of systems for their parents. This brings a piece of mind at times when they are not around and ensures the help will arrive in case anything goes wrong, all with a simple push of a button.

This is why medical monitoring system, such as the one provide by Guardian Medical Monitoring is a perfect choice for those who want to make sure they feel safe and protected in their own home.

So How Does It Work?

All medical alert systems consist of a help button that is connected to a base unit at home. When person in need pushes the help button, the system automatically connects to a call center where trained agents are ready to assist 24/7 and handle any kind of emergency.

Base unit station is usually stationary in the home. It needs to be placed in a central location in the house to ensure maximum range and signal coverage. Wearable pendant device is waterproof. When the help button is pressed, a connection with the call center is established and at this time the nature of the emergency is assessed. The agent will then take appropriate actions such as calling family members, caretakers or neighbors. If the situation requires immediate attention, local emergency services are dispatched to the location. This is highly useful and potentially lifesaving as sometimes there is not enough time to dial emergency services and explain the situation, relay location information and take other actions. Also, if call center agents cannot establish a communication with the protected person upon help button activation – emergency services are dispatched to the location immediately.

1. Personal emergency response system

This system contains a hands-free, help button in form of a portable device user can take everywhere with him. When user pushes the help button, a call center agent will answer the call. Agents are trained and they will immediately see all the necessary profile and medical information. The next step agent takes is the emergency assessment. Depending on the kind of emergency, appropriate action is taken. For example, Guardian agent might contact family members, neighbors or local emergency services. The agent stays on the line until help arrives.

Auto fall detection system works with standard G4000 unit and GSM cellular systems offered by Guardian.

So far, luckily I have only had to test the equipment monthly, and haven’t had an emergency. Poor quality equipment. It takes several hard pushes of the button on the necklace to activate the monitor. A couple of months ago a service rep. came out and changed the necklace batteries. It took 5 of the batteries she brought to find one that would finally work. She also replaced the monitor and it took two of those before she found one that would work with the necklace. This is all reconditioned equipment…and evidently outdated compared to the pictures of their equipment online..
When you do a monthly test and the person who answers after 11 rings, tells you to wait a minute and test the button again to see if it will ring in to them, on one try. You would think that same person would be ready to answer your call the second time….that you wouldn’t need to start the discussion and explain the problem, all over with a new technician who wasn’t a party to the discussion of the first call. I can only imagine how difficult this situation would be for a person who really needed assistance…Will be looking for a new provider…this is ridiculously poor quality equipment and service. Plus, they want to charge you for a home service call…and all they provide is poor quality equipment.

They used to actually care about the customers, but now it seems they only care about the money. A young lady name BobbieJo set mine up and she was just lovely. I heard they got rid of her and I have not had anyone take good care of me since. Their customer service is just terrible now. You should try and get this young lady back as she cared for us old folks.

Thanks be to God I have not had to use this system. Customer service is simply horrible!. I have spent over an hour to resolve an issue. Bottom line while the customer service reading directions on how to reset the code on the box and I am following directions, apparently he was preoccupied with something else and was starting from the beginning on each reading- causing me to be locked out of the box. told me I need some kind of cutter. Re-ordered a new box, transferred to payments (FOR WHAT ACCOUNT PAID DIRECTLY FROM BANK) they apologize and said they would stay on the phone and explain to customer service, what was going on. She gave no explanation. When all was said and done after an hour has passed she refunded me one month. AND THEN I GET THE NEW BOX IN THE MAIL TODAY AND THE CODE IS WRONG………. IT IS NOT THE CORRECT CODE….. Now I have to call back; dreadfully! Will be cancelling on my next break!

Got my unit in Feb 18, 2019. This piece of ***// don’t work. During the monthly test they tell me to “RESET” the unit. After several months of this I told the person (that calls each month to test the unit) that we go through this all the time and that I was promised a repairman would come out to replace the unit and that never happened. So, what do I do if I cant reach the unit to reset? Right now I have the unit testing and right now all it’s doing is repeating “Emergency Call In Progress” even as I am typing this. This company is ripping off my insurance and giving me high blood pressure, an injury to me from you. As soon as I’m done typing this I’m ripping out the unit from the wall and throwing it in the trash. Your technician can rummage through my trash to retrieve it. Your a bunch of crooks that are ripping off my insurance and you can explain your operation to the office of the “Attorney General”. I’ve had enough of this running joke, you pissed me off.

    + PROS: none
    - CONS: doesn't work. Just repeats "Emergency Call In Progress" for hours while I lay on the floor in distress.

My mother has your product, the last three days the pendent has got caught between her and the chair, and other objects and the pendent has gone off. I was on the phone with her today and a lady answered the call and had a very bad and poor attitude with my mother. She has this in case of an emergency; sometimes it will go off on accident and things happen. But I don’t think that calls for a attitude over. I didn’t like hearing the attitude my mother got. My mother and one of the girls that come help her was testing it the other day, it took two to three minutes to get a response from them. It shouldn’t take that long. If it was a life altering emergency that would be too long. Something could happen to her in the time she pushes the button and the time it takes for them answer the call.
